LESSON LEARNTfinally it's over! anatomy prac. everyone was so stressed up over it, especially jus before we go in fer da test. we were divided into 3 diff grps & i was in da last (lucky? maybe not ..read on)
since we were da last grp, we managed to see da ppl from first grp who finished their prac alr. so all da tips of wat came out was circulating around as well as da answers fer it too.
no time to check up ans & study smmore + need to do well = jus rem da answers & jus write down when we c da particular qns.
BIG MISTAKE!
cos after we finished da prac, da ans we got from our classmates were WRONG!! quoted from rachel "so stupid to have not trusted our own knowledge" that was truly a lesson learnt.
anw, this is how our prac goes. we have 2omins to answer 40qns, 2qns fer each specimen. after 1min da bell will sound fer us to move to our next specimen. so it's really a test on how well u know ur stuff cos u dun have time to think. facts must be at ur fingertips. thank-gdness i was quite calm while tackling da qns, so i had enough time to read every qns. fer that i think im lucky. =)
so that's it fer anatomy prac. really a test of facts & knowlegde at our fingertips.
this time i remembered to bring my diskette to save e image we took, after we finished almost e whole of upper extremity?! hai. see that fracture on the humerus? it wasnt a real fracture but becos the hand and shoulder of the phantom jus dun wanna join tog. the whole group of girls had a hard time trying to stabilise this real HEAVY phamtom, with sponges & sandbags, jus to make the 2parts stay tog. i dun wanna imagine myself handling a patient that heavy alone. ha`haatrust ..
