DAY 8IGHTfinally the lastB O R I N Gboth IP & portable too! although portable
Billy was on duty, he was too bz studying fer driving theory test, so no one to talk to me plus portable cases aint as much as yesterday. hai so basically i stoned again. couldnt help much with the patients in IP too cos smstuff i'll mention later. anw after much awaiting, we went fer portable round! first time i wore a full protection suit; mask, glove & gown fer one of the cases &
Billy allow me to do the collimation & shooting fer the norm ward cases.
(err but so unlucky the manager was in the ward too, so saw me doing the exposure & later i found out Billy got a small ticked off by him cause he's not suppose to let me do it though Billy alr brief me bout the procedures. sorry!)After lunch
Billy had to go fer his theory test so
Chengwu took over his duties. din really do much this time during portable round, jus follow & observe. rest of the
"free time" was spent stoning ..
*
im caught in the middle.
here's the
problem: i know it's expected of us as a student to help the radiographer as much as we could during our attachments. e.g bringing the patients in & out, positioning, processing the cassette, giving the film etc. BUT some radiographers
(erm esp the filipinos ..not trying to be racist thou) really give me or rather us this feeling
"we dun need your help". this is only the first part. as fer the processing of cassette & wheeling patients in & out etc, the Radiograher Assistant does all the work ..so in other radiographers eyes, we students are not doing wad we are expected to do;
jus standing around, not doing anything & lack of initiative. most importantly, at the end of the day, all these comments are reflected on our evaluation report which affects our clincal grades. aargh
it's not i dun wanna help but there isnt any chance okay
..sobsmy slacking days are overtime to get some work done in out-patient dept tmr & fri ..
